| forestknoll technologies have servers located around the world. We currently have 3 monitoring servers in Canberra and Sydney Australia, 2 servers in Vancouver, Canada and another in San Jose, USA. This ensures that isITon sends alerts only when there is a problem with your server and not when there is a problem with our servers or the networks they are connected to. |
| The steps that isITon takes when checking your servers are: |
| The first monitoring node checks for the correct response from your server. |
| If the first monitoring node failed to connect to your server twice another monitoring node tries to connect. |
| If the third monitoring node cannot connect it gathers as much information as possible about the type of error. |
| Any diagnostic information is recorded in the isITon database. |
| Your alert settings are retrieved and one or more alerts are sent. |
| After 15 minutes have elapsed from when the first check (step 1) started the process starts again. |
| forestknoll technologies maintains multiple redundant systems ensuring that there is always an isITon server watching over your servers and that we can always send an alert if there is a problem. |
